Web application development

I build fast and reliable web applications tailored to your needs.

A web application is more than a website. It is the tool your business runs on: an internal system, a customer portal or a complete SaaS product.

I design and build custom applications with a focus on what has a real impact on your business: faster processes, less manual work, happier customers and data you can use to make better decisions. I do not start with technology, I start with your goals and your users.

The result is a stable, secure and maintainable application that can grow with your company. From the first idea through design and development to operation and further growth, you deal directly with the people who actually build your product.

I put architecture design first

A good application stands on a well-thought-out foundation. Before I start on the first screens, I design how the data will be stored, how the parts will communicate and how the system will grow with your business. A well-designed architecture saves time and money in every later stage.

  • Data modelThe database structure reflects how your company really works with data, not the other way round.
  • ScalabilityThe application can grow in users and features without a rewrite from scratch.
  • Security from the ground upRoles, permissions and data protection are handled in the design, not bolted on at the end.
  • Easy to extendA clean code structure lets other developers add features too.

Why does a custom application pay off?

20 %

That much of their working time employees spend, on average, searching for information and data.

88 %

That many Excel spreadsheets contain at least one error, according to research.

70 %

That many digital projects fail to reach their original goals.

How I approach application development

01

Business first, code second

Before I write the first line, I clarify what problem the application solves, who will use it and how I will know it is successful. That way I only build features that make sense and avoid unnecessary costs.

02

Launch in stages

I split the project into stages and start with a minimum viable product (MVP) you can quickly validate with real users. Further features are added based on real feedback and data, not on guesses.

03

Quality you can build on

I care about security, performance and readable, documented code. The application is ready for growing numbers of users and for other developers, so you never depend on a single supplier.

Answers to what you ask me most often

A website mainly informs: it presents a company, its services or products, and the visitor reads it. A web application works with the visitor: it signs them in, stores their data, calculates, processes orders or lets them manage their own account. Typical examples are a customer portal, a booking system or an internal tool. A website is for presentation, an application is for work, and many projects combine both.

The price depends on scope, complexity and the integrations required, which is why I do not quote a flat rate. After an introductory consultation I prepare a concrete proposal with a breakdown of the work and the option to split the project into stages. You know what you are investing in and can start with a smaller version.

Simpler applications or a first version (MVP) take weeks, larger systems take months. I estimate a precise schedule after analysing the brief and keep you informed of progress throughout development.

If an existing tool covers your needs, I will tell you and recommend it. A custom application makes sense where an off-the-shelf solution would limit you, or where your way of working is a competitive advantage.

Yes. If your systems offer an API or data export, I can connect them to the new application. I verify the integration options right at the start of the project so no technical obstacle surprises us later.

I deploy the application, set up monitoring and backups and hand over documentation. I also offer long-term maintenance and further development, but I write the code so that anyone can pick it up.
